Ways to become an Army officer after Class 12 or after graduation
There are several entry routes to become a commissioned officer in the Indian Army. The best one depends on your qualification and age.
- After Class 12 through the NDA exam.
- After graduation through the CDS exam for the Indian Military Academy or the Officers Training Academy.
- Technical graduate entries and other special entries are published by the Army when open.
- NCC certificate holders may have special entry options, so check the notification.
All routes include the SSB interview and a medical examination.
