How to join the Indian Navy as an officer: main entry routes

Kiran Bhatt Posted 4 months ago 414 views

Officer entry in the Indian Navy is available through exams such as NDA and CDS, and through special entries published by the Navy for engineering graduates and others.

  • After Class 12 you can apply through the NDA exam, or through the Navy 10+2 B.Tech cadet entry when it is notified.
  • After graduation you can apply through CDS or through direct entries for Executive and Technical branches when notified.
  • Physical and medical standards are strict, so start fitness preparation early.
  • Follow only the official Navy recruitment website for notices.

Entries change from year to year, so read the latest notice.

Swimming is a useful skill to build early if you want the Navy. It also helps with general fitness.

Notifications for that entry have used the JEE Main score, but always check the current year notice for the exact rule.
